Spinning Process

DRAWING

The process of aligning and reducing the weight of the feedstock of wool fibers to make them smooth, consistent, and ready for spinning.
Drawing Process

SPINNING

This process drafts the feedstock while also applying twist to the drawn wool fibers to create a strong, consistent yarn.
Winding Process

WINDING

This process transfers the spun yarn onto cones, spools, or other yarn carriers while also removing imperfections so it’s ready for knitting, weaving, or further processing.
Plying Process

PLYING & TWISTING

This process combines 2+ single yarns together to create a stronger, more balanced, and durable finished yarn.
